Opportunities in the Third Sector

I have come across a site where you can ‘register’ for interim/consultancy positions within the Third Sector.  View this as an excellent way of keeping your skills honed and toned!

Let me know how you get on

Southern Enterprise Alliance - opportunities for volunteering

They are seeking business mentors who have the expertise, the skill base and empathy to support new business start ups.  Naturally they have come to ‘our’ network to find the volunteers!  This is a fantastic opportunity to keep your work skills honed and to increase your work network.  The commitment is not going to be to onerous but obviously it is important to develop a ‘relationship’ with the business you are supporting.  For further information and contact details of the Project Manager at Southern Enterprise Alliance contact me.

I really recommend this initiative.  See it as a fantastic win/win opportunity.

This is not to be ‘honked’ at

The Government are opening a Swine Flu call centre in Farnborough and are recruiting advisers.  They are looking at the centre being open until April 2010.  The rates of pay are not bad - and as a stop gap position it is worth considering.  £8 per hour for the day shift, £12 per hour for the evening and £16 per hour for the night shift.  Am avoiding jokes about rewarding yourselves with bacon butties……   I would imagine Farnborough JCP would be the place to make first contact.

A member of ‘our’ network has this to offer

As you all know I bang on at regular intervals about our network being a fellowship - we are here to support each other.  Well with this ethos in mind read on.

A member of our network is a Health and Safety specialist - he now has set up a company that is doing very well.  He has told me that if any business comes his way from ’the group’ they will get a substantial commission in their first year.  I will act as the point of liaision.  Hasten to add I have no pecuniary interest but am always thrilled to support you all.

Check out this website

Hi everyone

www.Peopleperhour.com  good place to advertise your services and to have contact with others who may require your skills.  If any of you register and get work can you let me know.

Training and Events Manager - vacancy

I have been forwarded details of a vacancy that may be of interest to some of you.  Thanks must go to the Employer Forum on Disability for giving me the information.

They have a vacancy for a Training and Events Manager.  If you want further details then please contact me.

A member of our network has a request

A member of our network has an interim position at the University of Southampton.  She is doing research on the difficulties consultants face in the employment market.  She would like to have contact with some of you  Sadly there would be no remuneration.  But am sure some of you would be interested in supporting her work.

If interested can you contact me so that I can forward your details to her.
